If you need a bit of help motivating your students at home then this is the one for you!
An hour a day – Read, write and play.
You can use this challenge as ‘extra time’ in addition to what school have set for the children. Or on those days that’s it’s a struggle to keep their attention or motivate them (we are all having those days!)
We’ve divided the hour into 4 categories. You can adapt these however you wish, we’ve based them on 4 x 15 minute chunks.
- Be prepared – Encourage them to make their bed and get into a routine with their homeschooling.
- Reading – How many books can they read during July in their extra 15 minutes a day?. With the thought of a medal? PLENTY!
- Writing – Help them create a diary. Update it with a few lines a day of what they’ve been doing/ making/ watching.
- Playtime – Get that exercise in! You could do PE with Joe or create your own 15 minute break time exercise session.
We will update the page with a picture of the medal as soon as it arrives. Good luck with homeschooling, hang in there! You’re doing a great job.
**Please note that medals are not a toy and children should always be supervised when wearing a medal**
